Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) An IVA is a legally binding arrangement with your creditors which allows you to repay your debts in affordable monthly payments over a period of time, usually 5 years. An IVA can stop any of your assets being taken into possession by your creditors. All interest charges will be frozen and as long as you maintain your payments at the end of the arrangement the balance of the debt will be written off.
